48 Inch Tempering Conveyor Furnace |
Conveyor Furnaces are used in situation where there is a continuous supply of work to be processed. The shape and size will be a function of; what it is processing, process temperature, belt speed, and duration of process. There are many different types of conveyor furnace that range in size from the very small (see pic 4) to the very large (pic 2). The most obvious and common uses a conveyor belt to move the load, but there are other different types, which include moving buckets, moving jigs, or just moving chains for large flat items. Controlled atmospheres can also be used to protect or treat the work while at temperature. The conveyor furnace can be fitted with a cooling section, to reduce the temperature of the load before it is moved to the next process, and/or it can drop the components directly onto a another conveyorised installation, such as a quench tank or wash system, or into a container to be moved to the next process.
The conveyor furnaces we have built have all been designed the meet the exact specification required by the customer.
Common Processes include:- Annealing Tempering Hardening Stress Relieving Etc… One draw back of conveyor systems is that they can become quite long. If plant length is a restricting factor, then you may be able to use a Rotary Furnace instead. In some processes the conveyor furnaces needs to be complimented by Quench Systems, or Salt Baths or both. All of these we can supply. |
