Fire Test Furnace |

This furnace was supplied to a university for performing fire tests on walls, doors, windows, items of furniture, and even roof panels. The roof of this furnace can be swung forward, on arms that run down each side of the body, and relocated onto the front wall of the furnace. This can be achieved using a fork lift truck or an overhead crane system. Under the floor are two 1,500,000BTU burners which can be controlled independently, and spent gases are exhausted through the rear wall into a flow controlling manifold. Spy holes and Thermocouples are located around the outer walls to look into the test area. |
