This picture shows a Submerged Electrode Salt Bath ready for use. This bath was design with the customers existing transformer in mind, which would have normally needed replacing for use with a bath of this size. To avoid replacing the transformer we designed the bath with a step inwards near the base where the elements are situated. This brought the electrodes closer together, and therefore reduced the voltage necessary to transmit the current through the salt.

The graphite electrodes are sealed with the salt itself, which freezes between the graphite and the brickwork before it reaches the outer surface, thus creating a perfect seal.
